Membership Categories

ADULT PLAYING - FULL MEMBER (Fee £245)

Open to men and women from the age of 25. This membership entitles adults to join in all club sessions: Tuesday evening (men), Wednesday evening (ladies), Thursday evening (mixed), Saturday morning/afternoon (depending on level of play, mixed). It is recommended that beginners or those who have not played for some time join as an Introductory Member initially and be advised by our Head Coach, Paul Rock, when ready to upgrade to the Full Membership. Those upgrading or rusty will be encouraged to play on Thursday evening and Saturday morning club sessions. This category includes voting rights at the Annual General Meeting.

ADULT PLAYING - INTRODUCTORY MEMBER (Fee £130)

Open to adults who are new to tennis and taking part in coaching sessions. This category is for one year only unless the Head Coach advises a further year is required before reaching a Full Membership level. This category is entitled to play tennis when there are any courts free (Free Play sessions) and to participate in social activities. This category of membership does not entitle the member to join in any club sessions (see above) until they have achieved a suitable level. This category does not include voting rights at the Annual General Meeting.

ADULT PLAYING – MID WEEK (Fee £120)

Open to anyone who wishes to play during the day 09.00-17.00 on weekdays (Monday to Friday only). This category includes voting rights at the Annual General Meeting.

YOUNG ADULT 18 TO 24 YEARS (Fee £90)

Anyone over the age of 18 up to 24 is eligible for this category. Playing times and conditions as per Adult Playing Full Member (see above). This category includes voting rights at the Annual General Meeting.

ADULT PLAYING – MID WEEK COACHING (Fee £65)

Open to anyone who receives coaching during the day 09.00-17.00 on weekdays (Monday to Friday only). This does not allow any play apart from during a coaching session with one of the Club’s coaches and does not include voting rights at the Annual General Meeting.

ADULT SOCIAL MEMBER (Fee £20)

Open to anyone over the age of 18 who wishes to make use of the facilities at the Club (eg. using the bar and attending social functions) but who does not play tennis. This category include all parents using the facilities on a Friday night. This category does not include voting rights at the Annual General Meeting.

LIFE MEMBER – Playing (Fee 50% subscription)

An honour offered to current members of the Club who have served on the Committee or in some other major capacity. For social membership there is no fee. For playing membership the fee is 50% of their normal playing category fee.

COACH

Someone appointed by the Club who is allowed to coach at the Club. Coaches are permitted to represent the Club in leagues and join in with social club tennis.

JUNIOR CATEGORY – MINI TENNIS (10 years and below) - Fee £42

This is aimed at children aged 10 and below who are in the Mini Tennis Programme and only use Red, Orange or Green Mini Tennis Balls and will entitle them to:-

  • Access the fee based structured sessions on Junior Night (Friday).
  • Free entry into the annual Junior Tournament.
  • Use any free courts on Junior Night up until 7pm.
  • Arranged coaching during the week at a fee and time agreed with the coaches.
  • Represent the Club in matches by invitation, which will require LTA British Tennis Membership.
  • Access the Mini Tennis Matchplay sessions at Cuffley.

This category of member must be supervised by an adult at all times outside the structured coaching sessions detailed above, i.e. when your child is not on court with a coach, it is the parent’s/guardian’s responsibility to ensure the child is safe and that Club property is not being damaged. The club accepts no responsibility for children on the grounds of the Club while not with a coach.

JUNIOR CATEGORY – FULL BALL (11 years and above) - Fee £55

This is aimed at children aged 11 and above who use Yellow Tennis Balls (Full Ball) and will entitle them to:-

  • Free entry into the annual Junior Tournament.
  • Use of courts on Junior Night
  • Use of free courts at other times during ‘Free Play All’ or if available at other times.
  • Arranged coaching at a fee and time agreed with the coaches.
  • Represent the Club in matches by invitation, which will require LTA British Tennis Membership.
  • Free entry into the Road to Wimbledon Tournament.

This category of member must be supervised by a parent/guardian at all times outside the structures or coaching sessions detailed above, if aged 11 or below. However, all Juniors remain the responsibility of their parent/guardian on Club premises when not under the supervision of a coach.

JUNIOR PLUS CATEGORY - BY INVITATION ONLY – Fee £55

This is aimed at the more experienced/performance Junior player and is by invitation only. In addition to the standard entitlements/restrictions, this category of member may:-

  • Play in adult sessions as defined by the coaches and/or Committee.
  • Represent the Club in adult matches by invitation.
  • Participate in Adult Cuffley Tournaments which may be subject to a separate fee.
  • Operate the flood lights and/or apply to be a key holder to the premises/ball cupboard.
  • Free entry into the Road to Wimbledon Tournament.
